Jerry Carlson

After nearly a 40 year career at KPMG, Gerald (Jerry) Carlson retired in September 2019 having served as the Managing Partner of the KPMG Washington Metro Area and the Chesapeake Market.  He was responsible for leading a culture of ethics and integrity, developing marketplace strategy, overseeing high-quality client service, attracting and retaining key resources and representing the firm in the marketplace.  

Jerry joined the St. Louis office of KPMG in 1981, where he was appointed as the Managing Partner of the St. Louis office in July 2008. He served as an audit partner to private and publicly-held clients including serving several Fortune 500 companies. 

During his career, Jerry was recognized as a member of Washington’s Power 100 and as a member of the Most Influential St. Louisans. Jerry has served as a of the board and executive committee member to many organizations, including the Greater Washington Board of Trade, the Regional Business Council and Catholic Charities, and he serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Robert S. Trulaske School of Business at the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Jerry and his wife, Anne, have been married for over 35 years.  They have four adult children and are devoted to their faith and community. Jerry has maintained a life-long commitment to fitness and enjoys a variety of sports.
